Theta Eta Sigma Chapter Celebrates Founders’ Week with Service, Sisterhood, and Recognition

The Theta Eta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. proudly marked Founders’ Week with a series of events celebrating the extraordinary legacy of the Seven Founders and the lasting influence of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. This year’s festivities focused on unity, reflection, and acknowledging the Sorors who continue to embody Sigma's values.

A standout event of the week was the chapter’s first-ever 7 Pearls of Purpose Dinner & Silent Auction, an elegant evening dedicated to recognizing excellence within the chapter while supporting community initiatives. During the celebration, the chapter honored its 2025 Seven Pearls Award recipients, each chosen for their steadfast dedication to uplifting the community and advancing Sigma Gamma Rho's mission.

The honorees included Soror Crystal Starkes, Soror of the Year; Soror Michele Brown, Sisterhood Spirit Award; Soror Dr. Adriane Clayton, Scholarship Excellence Award; Soror Trina Perry, Service Champion Award; Soror Athena Wilson, New Soror Spotlight; Soror Lovee’ Johnson-Lundy, Leadership in Action Award; and Soror Karen Brackett-Browning, Legacy of Service Award.

To further celebrate Founders’ Day, members gathered for a lively happy hour social, embracing fellowship and commemorating 103 years of sisterhood. The chapter also hosted a virtual event, enabling Sorors from near and far to connect, reflect, and honor the incredible women whose vision created a legacy that continues to empower generations.

The chapter also created self-care bags for teenagers and women in shelters.

Through celebration, connection, and service, Theta Eta Sigma upheld the spirit of Founders’ Week—honoring the past while inspiring purpose for the future.
